What if Joan didn’t drive by with the sun on her hair and the lights in her eyes?
What if her musical laughter didn’t sing on currents of air?
What if Tom’s heart didn’t respond to the silvery siren’s call and look up and say, “Who is that girl?”
What if Gil and Ken didn’t say, “That’s our sister”?
What if Tom’s heart cry didn’t reach his lips and shout to the world,“That’s the girl for me”?
